Fashion: Alberto Sumague Jane Bag in Black

Hi there!

Today I'll be talking about another item from Alberto Sumague. He was very kind to give me this back in the 10th Megabrands sale [check out my post here]. I've used it several times and I wanted to talk about it.

This is a pretty small sling or body bag [9"x11x]. It's just a little smaller than the standard size throw pillow as you can see in the back. It also has an adjustable long strap.

The upper front flap is the main opening for the bag.

The lower front flap opens the small front pocket. If you're the type to use small pockets for your phone, keys, etc. this is where you can place them. I really like the idea of the 2 front flaps. It doesn't just make it look good, but it makes it different from most bags in the market.

I thought I'd show you how cute it is to have both flaps connected to open the small front pocket.

It also has a zipper in the back for your other small items and whatnot.

There is this zipper in the back side of the bag.

Look at the texture of the leather used. I'm definitely very cautious about what texture and material are used for bags. I have a lot of experience with bags where the leather-like material gets peeled off. I also have experience with 'leather' that just snaps off. I don't think the same thing will happen with this though. Their leather looks very durable and it doesn't look like the type that gets peeled off.

I've made sure to use this bag a lot of times before I talked about it. I wanted to make sure it's as good as it seems. I've used it during times when I am out for the most part of the day. I've also experienced using it during rainy days. It has not deteriorated one bit. Honestly, it still looks new to me. I also tried filling it up with random items and hanging it for a day. I wanted to see if it easily breaks when you put a lot of stuff in. It doesn't. It can carry a lot considering its size.

I can honestly say that this is better than a lot of the brands they sell in malls. In the Philippines, several brands found in malls aren't good. They easily break or deteriorate. I know someone who bought a bag that broke the first time she used it [this was back in my OJT/internship days]. I've also experienced buying a bag from Landmark [one of those sale items that seems nice] and it broke when it was mostly filled with just necessities. I think I still have it in my closet. Whenever I see it, it reminds me to buy something of good quality. I shouldn't buy something just because it's cheap.

Fashion: Albert Sumague Kathy Shoes

Hello!

I'd like to talk about this new pair of shoes I've bought from the Megabrands sale. This is Alberto Sumague's Kathy Shoes. It has a snake-skin design that is combined with leather. These are currently my go-to shoes. They are very comfy and stylish. They'll fit almost any outfit I wear. If there is one thing I know about Alberto Sumague's shoes, it is that I can wear them for ages and my feet won't hurt at all. That, and that I won't even get blisters the first time I wear them.

Another thing I love about these shoes is that sew in garter which I think makes it more flexible when worn especially when you have wider feet like me. Whenever I see shoes that have garter similar to this one, I always think it's from Alberto's

One of the reasons why their shoes are very durable is that they sew it until the sole of the shoe. After having one of their shoes for, I don't know, a year now, I can say that their technique really does make it last.

Another great thing about these shoes is that they cover the inside with a soft fabric, which helps make it very comfortable to wear.

I've waited a while before I posted this because I wanted to try it several times before I write about it. I can honestly say that these shoes are one of the best buys I've made. I've worn these on days where I walk around for more than 4 hours and as expected my feet didn't hurt at all. It also has this strong grip on my feet. I won't even have to worry about it flying off if I ever decide to do a high kick. I love that I can wear these on both casual and more formal outfits. I also love how much they don't make my feet look even wider that it already is. BTW another amazing thing about these shoes is that they are cheap! These are amazing shoes, but they aren't expensive at all, especially compared to the mainstream shoe brands in the market. I just love shoes from Alberto Sumague. I am excited to buy more and even bring them to Singapore!

I just have this feeling that Alberto Sumague will go far with this. Go try it out for yourself!

Check out his shoes and bags!

Fashion: Topman Socks are Awesome!

Hello Hello!

I wanted to quickly share these new socks today. I am currently really into Topman Socks. Yep! I'm a lady, but I prefer the ones for the gentlemen. I don't know if it's just me, but the men's socks fit me better than the ones for women. My feet are a bit wide for women, which makes it a little hard to find perfect fitting shoes. The same principle goes for socks! Anyway, these are not too loose and not too tight for me, so if you have slightly wider feet or if you simply have big feet, men's socks would probably be better for you.

This has got to be my favorite pair of socks. I am the type of person who enjoys wearing colorful, crazy, cute or character socks. You'll probably spot me wearing them either when I have sporty shoes on or at night because my feet easily gets cold. Either way, I would crack a smile just from seeing them. I guess you can say I am easily amused. I got them for 195 Philippine Pesos.

They are called Orange Fish Character Socks, I looked it up on their site in case you wanted them as well. Link HERE. I intend on buying more socks from Topman in the future. I do hope they'll put in more designs soon. Maybe even something to top this [I saw really cute ones on their website]. Know where else I can cute socks?

More content soon. Hugs!~

10th Global Pinoy Bazaar: Floral Sunglasses

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to share my favorite item from the 10th Global Pinoy Bazaar (If you don't know what that is or if you haven't read my post about it, kindly check here). The first time I saw it, I completely loved it. It was one of my last purchases. It's my favorite because it looks amazing and it was quite cheap. The only thing I regret is asking for a business card. I was too excited and was simply thinking about wearing it.

I absolutely loved the floral design and how the gold accents worked really well with it. Half of the arms are basically gold and the other half was covered in black plastic. They have these little pointed ends with diamond holes. I love the triangles at each side. It gives it a little more flare without making it overly designed.

I got these for only 250 Philippine pesos. They are totally worth it because it looks amazing, but I have no idea how strong these glasses are. I do hope they last for quite a while. I plan on taking these whenever I leave, except when I need to go to school wearing our uniform (that would be a tad silly). Anyway, there was another pair that had a leopard print, if you prefer those over these floral ones.

I am trying to look for the store that offered it, but I can't find it. I'll post an update once I do.
They are form the same stall where the Laurente fashion accessories hypoallergenic earrings were sold. I can't find them on the web though. I can't find their links.

Note: To all my international readers. I apologize if there are a lot of posts that may not apply to you. I will be back to posting about items that may be bought internationally soon. Thank you for your patience.

Fashion: 10th Global Pinoy Bazaar: Albert Sumague Flat Shoes

Hi all!

I'm doing another post about an item from the 10th Global Pinoy Bazaar (If you don't know what that is or if you haven't read my post about it yet, kindly check here). In this post, I'd like to share about a pair of shoes that is very cheap and of high quality.

I was able to see the stall when I was halfway through checking everything out. The words "Marikina Made" caught my attention because shoes made from Marikina City in the Philippines is usually sturdy or high quality. I was simply browsing when I thought I'd try a few pairs of shoes on. I was actually trying on a pair of brown leather ones when my grandmother was able to spot this beauty. It's metallic texture and snake-like "design" caught my attention. I like those kinds of textures on shoes and bags. Although, I like them fake. I don't buy real snake or crocodile-skinned products.

Anyway, I asked for my size and I was really happy to see it did NOT make my foot look that big. I have big wide feet (I think some people call it square feet), so it gets hard to pick shoes that would look good on them. I really liked this pair and I simply had to get it. I liked that it had garter around the opening. I think it allowed it to "hold-on" to my feet better. I believe it also helps with making my feet look better for it covers up a lot of space. They are super comfy. I think the seller talked about it having foam inside which allows you to wear it for a longer period of time.

This pair was worth 450 Philippine pesos and was a total bargain. Then again, it was on sale for the event. I believe it costs a little more when normally priced. Is it worth buying? yes. Would I buy there again? Yes, I would.
